During Development

Normally I render a non textured version of the image while it's under development.

Graphics

Most of my images do not use image maps, only pure CSG and procedurally generated textures.

Overall, I prefer to use highly complex objects instead of image maps. (Feels like cheating otherwise)

Adding focal blur to an image drastically increases it's realism.

I use a lot of generative procedurial elements in my images.
